The Teutonic Order represented a deciding power in the Baltics in the 12th – 15th centuries. It built there a net of castles that remain the most important historical monuments of the Middle Ages. The order benefited from a strong support of Bohemian rulers. The exhibition shows rare authentic shields of Teutonic Knights from the 15th century as well as remains of the order´s comenda in Slavkov u Brna unearthed during archaeological excavations conducted by the Moravian Museum.
